We look forward to seeing you this weekend.\nThe Prader-Willi Florida Chapter is hosting a fun filled day at the Brevard Zoo on September 13\, 2025\, dedicated to individuals living with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and their families. \nJoin us at the front entrance of the Brevard Zoo at 10:00 AM\, where we’ll be there to greet you and hand out the itinerary for the day. Our scheduled group activities will conclude at 3:00 PM\, but you’re welcome to continue exploring and enjoying the zoo on your own until it closes at 5:00 PM. \nGuests will enjoy a full day of adventure as they explore the zoo’s fascinating animal exhibits\, while also engaging in interactive activities and educational sessions designed to raise awareness and foster connection. \nThis event is an opportunity for families\, caregivers\, and advocates to come together\, share experiences\, and strengthen the PWS community. The Brevard Zoo provides the perfect backdrop for a fun\, enriching\, and unforgettable experience. \nTicket cost includes: Zoo admission\, PWS appropriate lunch\, an air conditioned lodge for the large group gathering and the small breakout groups by age. For those interested there is a splash pad/small pool for the little kids\, dont forget to bring your bathing suit and towel. SUMMARY:Dream Oaks Camp
DESCRIPTION:Our unique programs focus on each child’s abilities and are specifically designed to strengthen their social skills\, behavioral skills\, and comprehensive profound skillset in a safe\, barrier-free environment.  Our staff are dedicated to planning and modifying strategies for each session. \nAs a child attends our program\, parents collaborate with staff to identify two targeted goals for the child to progress towards while at camp. By focusing on each child’s strengths and abilities\, staff members help facilitate a child’s development by integrating their individualized goals into our daily schedule of unique camp activities.  Because of our high caliber staff training and low camper to staff ratios of 3:1 or better\, each child is able to receive a high level of individualized care and support\, so that they are able to engage in adaptive camp activities\, learn new skills and develop productive behaviors while having a blast. \nOur program was developed for children with special needs including; but not limited to: \n  \n•   Autism Spectrum Disorders (including Asperger’s Syndrome) \n•  Sensory Processing Disorders \n•  Down syndrome \n•  Developmental Delays \n•  Cerebral Palsy \n•  ADHD/ADD \n•  Mild to profound intellectual disabilities \n•  Learning Disabilities \n•  Tourette’s syndrome \nLearn More
