Uplifting Florida’s Prader-Willi Syndrome Community
Here's How We Do It
PWSA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing support to individuals diagnosed with PWS, their families, communities, and care providers.
PWS Florida is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and their families through comprehensive support, advocacy, and education. We are a state chapter of Prader-Willi Syndrome Association USA.
Our Programs & Initiatives
Educational Support: We train educational professionals to create the most supportive and appropriate school learning environments for students with PWS. Our goal is to ensure that every child with PWS receives a tailored education that meets their unique needs.
Fundraising and Community Support: We hold fundraisers to spread awareness and raise funds to support our programs. These funds provide direct grants to families to assist with respite care, summer camps, community activities, and essential items such as iPads and adaptive bikes.
National Collaboration: PWS Florida works in conjunction with PWSA | USA, the national organization supporting research projects with the potential for immediate and high impact for the PWS community. PWSA | USA maintains a robust website full of resources at pwsausa.org.
